Syngenta (Camix)

Syngenta turned to Origin to develop a brand name for a new pre-emergence corn herbicide, a next generation product to join the existing brand Callisto and to sit alongside Lumax.

The name Camix was developed for the two-way mixture product and needed to communicate the superior control, flexibility and acceptable environmental profile of this new product.

Camix works well with Lumax, Syngenta’s three-way mixture product that provides a one-pass solution controlling the toughest weeds in corn. Syllabically similar, both names also use descriptive elements such as ‘mixture’ and ‘maximum’ respectively.
