Ciba Specialty Chemicals asked Origin to develop a brand identity for a revolutionary Time Temperature Indicator packaging technology that accurately records product freshness by monitoring time and temperature conditions since the product was packaged.

Origin created the brand name OnVu, communicating the technology’s immediate benefit to consumers (“true freshness at a glance”). The visual identity for the new brand, also created by Origin, combines a high degree of distinctiveness with clear functional messaging, which when reinforced by the name, results in a brand identity that is both memorable and universally understood.
